Class Descriptions

2022/2023 Season Class Descriptions

CLASS	DESCRIPTION
Adult Ballet	Ballet class for adults of all skill levels.  Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and ballet shoes.
Adult Jazz	Jazz class for adults of all skill levels.  Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.)and jazz shoes.
Adult Tap	Tap class for adults of all skill levels.  Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and tap shoes.
Ballet 1	Entry level ballet. Students will learn the basic ballet body positions and steps. Female students should wear pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Male students should wear a white dance shirt, black tights, and black ballet shoes.
Ballet 2	Beginner level ballet. Students will build on basic ballet steps and learn combinations. Female students should wear light blue leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Male students should wear a white dance shirt, black tights, and black ballet shoes.
Ballet 3	Intermediate level ballet. Students will learn intermediate ballet steps, turns, and combinations. Female students should wear burgundy leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Male students should wear a white dance shirt, black tights, and black ballet shoes.
Ballet 4	Advanced level ballet. Students will learn advanced ballet steps, turns, and combinations. Female students should wear black or any color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Male students should wear a white dance shirt, black tights, and black ballet shoes.
Contemporary 2/3	Beginner level Contemporary dance. A good place to start and explore the world of contemporary dance. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.).  No special shoes are needed.
Contemporary 4/5	Intermediate/Advanced Contemporary dance . Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.).  No special shoes are needed.
Creative Movement	Creative Movement is an introduction to movement through ballet, tap and creativity. Students should wear comfortable clothing or leotards and tights (any color), as well as ballet and tap shoes.
Elementary Hip Hop	Beginner level hip hop class. Students will learn basic hip hop steps and combinations.  Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.
Highschool Hip Hop	Intermediate/Advanced level hip hop class. Students will learn advanced hip hop steps and combinations.  Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.
Intermediate Hip Hop	Intermediate level hip hop class. Students will build on basic hip hop steps and combinations.  Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.
Jazz 1	Beginner level jazz class. Students will learn basic jazz steps and combinations. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and jazz shoes.
Jazz 2	Intermediate level jazz class. Students will learn basic jazz steps and combinations. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and jazz shoes.
Jazz 3	Intermediate/Advanced level jazz class. Students will learn basic jazz steps and combinations. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and jazz shoes.
Musical Theater	Musical theater group instruction in vocal, acting, and theater dance.
Tap 1	Beginner level tap class. Students will learn basic tap steps and combinations. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and tap shoes.
Tap 2	Beginner level tap class. Students will build on basic tap steps and combinations. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and tap shoes.
Tap 3	Intermediate level tap class. Students will higher level tap steps and combinations. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and tap shoes.
Tap 4	Advanced level tap class. Students will advanced tap steps and combinations. Students should wear dance/exercise clothing (leggings, shorts, etc.) and tap shoes.
Tik Tok	A fun class for students of all ages to learn popular Tik Tok dances and create their very own Tik Toks!  Students should wear comfortable clothing; no special shoes required.
Toddler Creative Movement	An introduction to movement, ballet, tap, singing, and rhythm activities. Students should wear comfortable clothing or leotards and tights (any color), as well as ballet and tap shoes.
